| Renovate the Parish Hall & Gym (McCallin Hall I & II) Built 42 years ago as the original church and gym, the hall is used daily for a variety of activities. The original church (McCallin Hall I) was remodeled into meeting space as part of Phase I, with temporary finishes. The gym (McCallin Hall II) now needs to be addressed. The renovation will create an inviting space that can be used for meals, meetings, wedding and funeral receptions and conferences. Room dividers will create flexibility for medium-to-large parish gatherings. With a new sound system and updated lighting, flooring and finishes that complement the narthex, this space will continue to be a popular meeting space. Renovate the Padre Restaurant & Kitchen Many of the fixtures and much of the equipment in this restaurant has outlived their useful life. The updated Padre will have an inviting atmosphere that will continue the original vision of Fr. McCallin as a popular gathering space. The more efficient kitchen will support the Padre and also McCallin Hall for a variety of events such as dinners, receptions and meal preparation for our school children. The addition of an audio/visual system and new furniture will make the Padre a viable option for meeting space for our ministry and program groups as well as continuing the popular Sunday brunches, coffee after daily Masses and small group gatherings for prayer and faith discussion. |
Renovate the Youth Center Our youth are the future of our church and it is important to create a space that is welcoming and well-designed to accommodate a variety of activities. Better lighting, plumbing, offices and meeting space will provide a much needed facelift for the youth center. With a new office configuration, the youth ministry staff will be together in one building. The updated spaces will be flexible for meetings and prayer time, with a separate area for games and activities. Renovate St. Peregrine Hall The space under the Padre (the original parish offices) is used by a variety of groups. The space is divided into several small meeting rooms which prevents flexibility. The restrooms are original and need to be updated. Plans are to open up the space to accommodate large and small groups, similar to the existing St. Francis Hall. An elevator will be added to access storage and allow the opportunity for more ministries to use this area for meetings. |
